After graduating from college, she returned home to inherit her family's beauty salon in the California area. As her interest in beauty and wellness grew, she worked and studied for her doctorate in natural (clinical) medicine from Bastyr University, She obtained her Professional license for natural physicians.

In addition to her work, she regularly collaborated with women's health organizations around the world to give seminars on women's nutrition and helped many companies with their women's health consulting services. Continued customer demand prompted her to simultaneously begin researching nutritional supplements for women, and as she delved into ingredients and formulations, she recruited additional scientists, physicians and chemists to her team, and subsequently established the Sunulos®.

She pioneered the idea of beauty wellness in an era when the kind of beauty formulas she envisioned to maintain skin condition and enhance nutrition simply did not exist. The idea of mixing multiple nutrients, herbs and supplements in one formula, while common today, was a rarity at the time.
